Rental Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to equipment rented from SAIMAA Medical Devices.
01Rental Charges & Payment
The applicable rental amount will be communicated and confirmed at the time of rental. Rental charges payable for the agreed rental period are non-refundable, except where specifically agreed otherwise by Sai Maa Medical Devices. Any applicable security deposit will be communicated before confirmation of the rental. The security deposit is refundable, subject to the equipment being returned in acceptable condition and all applicable dues being cleared.
02Return of Equipment
The customer agrees to return the equipment and all accessories on or before the agreed due date. Equipment retained beyond the agreed rental period may be subject to additional rental charges, as applicable. The customer must return the equipment in the same condition in which it was provided, subject to normal wear and tear.
03Damage, Loss or Theft
The customer will be responsible for any damage, loss or theft of the equipment or its accessories during the rental period. Any damage beyond normal use and reasonable depreciation may be chargeable to the customer. Sai Maa Medical Devices will not be responsible for damage caused due to misuse, negligence or improper handling by the customer/user.
04Medical Use & Customer Responsibility
Equipment must be used only as recommended by the treating doctor/healthcare professional and according to the intended use of the equipment. The customer/user is responsible for understanding and following the proper usage instructions. The customer understands and accepts the risks associated with activities involving medical equipment. Sai Maa Medical Devices is not responsible for any injury, medical complication, mishap or critical condition arising from the customer's use of the rented equipment. Sai Maa Medical Devices does not provide a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
05Emergency Medical Care
In case of an emergency, sudden deterioration in the patient's condition, or any situation requiring immediate medical attention, the customer/user must promptly seek professional emergency medical care and proceed to the nearest hospital or emergency department. Rented equipment should not be considered a substitute for emergency medical treatment. Sai Maa Medical Devices will not be liable for any loss, injury, medical complication or other consequence arising from failure or delay in seeking appropriate emergency medical care, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
06Cleaning & Condition on Return
The customer is responsible for keeping the rented equipment clean and in proper condition. Each item should be returned in a condition suitable for inspection after use. Any cleaning, repair or restoration required due to misuse, negligence or damage may be chargeable to the customer.
07Visit / Service Charges
₹250 may be charged for each visit, where applicable, for service/support or other requested visits.
08Working Hours & Emergency Requirements
Regular working hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sunday and gazetted holidays are closed. Emergency requirements outside regular working hours may be subject to additional charges, where applicable. In case of an emergency or sudden deterioration in the patient's condition, the customer should immediately seek emergency medical assistance and proceed to the nearest hospital/emergency department. Sai Maa Medical Devices should not be relied upon as a substitute for emergency medical services.
09Emergency / Life-Saving Equipment
In case of emergency or life-saving equipment, the customer is advised to maintain an appropriate backup source/equipment where required. Sai Maa Medical Devices will not be responsible for consequences arising from the absence of a backup source or additional equipment during an emergency.
10Delivery & Freight
Applicable delivery/freight charges may be charged separately, depending on the actual requirement and location. Any applicable transportation, delivery, pickup or related charges will be communicated as applicable.
11Security Cheque
Where a security cheque is required, it should be issued in the name of “Sai Maa Medical Devices.” The security cheque will be handled in accordance with the agreed rental terms.
12Acceptance of Terms
By accepting the equipment on rent, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
